Software Tester

Developing and supporting these complex systems requires specialized and professional people who can make a difference. To match the needs of our rapidly expanding global customer base, we have an immediate need for a Software Tester in our Vancouver, BC office.

As the Software Tester, you will be responsible for: validating requirements for testability; verifying that our products meet requirements; developing and executing test cases; setting up test environments and generating test data; creating and updating defects on the Defect Tracking tool and generating testing reports; monitoring defect reports to ensure quality.

The successful candidate must have:

• BS, Computer Science, or Engineering (Quality Certifications are a plus).
• A minimum of two years industry experience testing software-based systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of testing lifecycle, methodologies and QC practices.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of one or more scripting languages
• Strong written and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to excel in a team environment.
• Experience with defect tracking tools, quality measurement & analysis, and automated testing tools. (Experience with Soffront® or Mantis is a plus.)

Preference will be given to candidates who possess a familiarity with .NET and Java testing tools and frameworks and who have experience with the testing of embedded and real-time distributed systems.
