Modular Mining Systems, Inc., the industry leader in mine management solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Jackson as Managing Director of its South African office.
Jackson will oversee the development and growth of Modular Mining Systems Africa. “We are excited to have Mike at the helm,” stated James Wm. White, Chairman of Modular Mining Systems. “Since joining Modular in 1999, Mike has applied his extensive industry knowledge, leadership, and drive to assist the company in achieving its mission and realizing its vision. As Managing Director, Mike will carry on Modular’s strategy for continued growth in Africa.”
Jackson has been with Modular for three years and has held positions of increasing responsibility including Program Manager for Autonomous Truck System Development, and Consultant for Mine Services in both South Africa and Tucson, Arizona. Prior to joining Modular, Jackson held a variety of hands-on engineering positions at Barrick Goldstrike Mines. Jackson received a Mining Engineering Degree from Queen’s University in Canada.
